My Excellent HTML Page

What is this for?

Its just a simple page put together using HTML. So I can better understand HTML and show that I know some HTML stuff. It will help me Pass or maybe even get a Credit or Distinction!!! if I can go to a split screen (code / visual) in Dreamweaver and replace the content in the code with my words, images and sounds and not changing the code too much. I must remember to Create a new file in Sites and save my page as an index.html and all my images and sounds in that file. All except the image that I'm linking to from another site (I could use a banner image I upload to Photobucket)

There are lots of WYSIWIG (What You See Is What You Get) or Visual HTML Editors such as Dreamweaver, NetObjects Fusion 7.5, Microsoft FrontPage and AceHTM......

......So why do I have to learn how to use a Text Based HTML Editor?

• To learn HTML is to be at one with the world
• WYSIWIGS often write superfluous code or code that is meaningful only in one browser. And if I know about HTML I can do something about it.
• To impress:
  1. Myself
  2. My excellent teacher
  3. My boyfriend / girlfriend / spouse / partner
  4. The bloke next door
  5. The little talking duck in my brain
• In any case it is worth the effort to at least become familiar with HTML code. It will provide me with the means to solve problems encountered with web pages, as well I will have more control over how my web pages will look.
